Mr. Richardson's HTML Project!
(Scroll down for student websites!)
Welcome to the student web page
section of Mr. Richardson's Technology Applications class! After 1˝
months, I would like to say that the student's HTML projects are
finished! I am so proud of all of my students who took diligent notes,
asked questions, and worked so hard on their websites to make this project a
reality. In the end, the importance of strong writing skills, vocabulary, and
overall English composition were reinforced. The students also have obtained a
valuable skill set which will benefit them long after they've attended The
Rice School. Lastly, the creativity displayed in designing their websites
exhibits our students' artistry, craftsmanship, and imagination.
Please note that the students did not use any third
party web design software such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe PageMill, or
Microsoft Front Page to create their websites. Except for the Javascript
codes (courtesy of Javascriptkit.com) every web page that you see was
hand-coded in HTML using Notepad. If the student desires to further their
education in web page design by using the above mentioned third party
software, they will have a significant advantage over the person who just
knows how to drop information on the screen -without knowing the underlying
infrastructure of their design.
Every effort was made to eradicate all writing errors.
All web pages went through several draft revisions by the students. (I also
printed out all of my students' web pages and combed through them myself for
spelling and grammar errors.) There is a rare possibility that a spelling
error or two might have slipped through. I would greatly appreciate it
if you kindly email me those
errors.
On behalf of the students in my
classroom, I hope that you enjoy your time looking through as many websites as
you possibly can! The students would welcome any positive feedback! (If you
just want to tell the students how well they did, I'll be more than happy to
post those emails on our class bulletin board! I'm sure they would like that!)
If you're from another country like Argentina, Spain, Brazil, China, Russia,
Denmark, Kenya, Japan, or any other place around the world,
drop us a line! (Be sure to
turn up the sound controls! Many of the students opted to put music on
their web pages!) To the whole world, we say...WELCOME!
