Computer Literacy

Why Computer Literacy?

I like to say that the world changed somewhere between 1992-1995 in three ways:

*The increasingly large proliferation of affordable computers for home and business usage.
*Windows 3.1 and especially Windows 95. Terms such as desktop, icon, folders, etc. became familiar to many people.
*The World Wide Web.

I predict within the next ten years, things that were considered "additional knowledge" will be required knowledge. Computer literacy is an on-going process that well continue well into the next 50-100 years. The good thing about this is that most knowledge is based off of previously invented processes. The more you understand, the easier it will be to pick up on new things in the future.
